Rhenium’s Flow Cytometry Course
Conducted by Shlomit Rak Yahalom, Senior Application Specialist
This comprehensive course would grant the participants a deep understanding of Flow Cytometry (FC), from the technology to the vast applications possible.
By gaining knowledge of the fundamentals of instrumentation and the principles of fluorescence, participants would learn how to set-up flow experiments and analyse their results while applying best practices. The course involves lectures, demonstrations and hands-on sessions.
Topics include:
Introduction to flow cytometry \ Fluorescence and Fluorescent dyes \ Light detection \ Multi Colour experiment & Compensation \ Sample Preparation \ Antibodies \ Data Analysis & Kaluza analysis software
Learning Goals
At the end of the course the attended will be able to
• Explain the basic parameters and principles of FC
• List common applications using FC
• Point out considerations of instrument settings, effect on flow experiment
• Name fluorescent dyes and their applications
• Point out the use of different Antibodies in FC – when and how
• Prepare sample and perform compensation, with proper controls
• Execute basic analysis of data
Attendees will receive a certificate of 30H participation.
