Recombinant cytokines, chemokines, and other RUO proteins

Extracellular Matrices

To keep cells in a more native state in vitro, it helps to tailor their environment by including extracellular matrix (ECM) components that emulate what the cells experience in vivo. By including a relevant cell culture matrix, you can better recapitulate the in vivo environment in your cell culture model. Gibco extracellular matrices, scaffolds, and proteins provide in vivo-like morphology and physiologically relevant cellular environments for more realistic cell culture models.

  • Geltrex  products are reduced growth factor basement membrane extracts derived from mouse Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) tumors.
  • Laminin is the major glycoprotein in basement membranes. Mouse laminin facilitates the attachment and expansion of ESCs, iPSCs, and NSCs.
  • Vitronectin (VTN-N) is a recombinant human protein that provides a defined surface for feeder-free culture of human pluripotent stem cells (PSCs). This cell culture matrix was designed for use with Essential 8 Medium and has been proven to maintain pluripotency and normal growth characteristics in multiple PSC lines.
  • Collagen is the most widely used extracellular matrix protein for cell culture, facilitating cell attachment, growth, differentiation, migration, and tissue morphogenesis.
  • Poly-D-lysine (PDL) is a synthetic ECM widely used to promote cell adhesion of a variety of cell types. PDL is also ideal for finicky cells, such as primary and PSC-derived neurons.

Dynabeads magnetic beads come in several sizes and different surface functionalities for use in a wide variety of applications. Some beads are precoupled with a biomolecule (ligand). The ligand can be an antibody, protein or antigen, DNA/RNA probe, or any other molecule with an affinity for the desired target.

  • Recovery Cell Culture Freezing Medium

A complete, ready-to-use freezing medium, the Recovery medium formulation avoids messy mixing. Using an optimized version of the classic DMEM, serum, and DMSO, Recovery cell freezing medium is ready to go when you are. When treated with Recovery medium, cells experience improved recovery and viability post-thaw.

  • Synth-a-Freeze Cryopreservation Medium

Formulated without antibiotics, antimycotics, hormones, growth factors, serum or proteins, Synth-a-Freeze medium is defined and ready-to-use. Synth-a-Freeze medium is buffered with HEPES and sodium bicarbonate and designed for use with primary mammalian cell types including human keratinocytes, embryonic stem cells, neural stem cells, and mesenchymal stem cells.

  • PSC Cryopreservation Kit

The PSC Cryopreservation Kit contains ready-to-use, xeno-free cryopreservation medium as well as a bottle of RevitaCell Supplement (100X). Together, these reagents minimize cell viability loss and unwanted cell differentiation while maximizing post-thaw recovery. Applications include pluripotent stem cells cultured in media systems, such as Essential 8 and StemPro hESC SFM, as well as other commercially available formulations. In addition, this kit can also be used to cryopreserve and recover peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).

  • RevitaCell supplement

Containing Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) inhibitors and antioxidant properties, the RevitaCell supplement typically recovers pluripotent stem cells at 40,000 viable cells/cm2, and significantly reduces the average post-thaw recovery time of most cryopreservation solutions. In addition to pluripotent stem cells, RevitaCell supplements can also be utilized with primary cells including neurons, human epidermal keratinocytes, and human corneal epithelial cells.
