iBlot 3 western blot transfer system

The next-generation dry protein transfer device with ready-to-use consumables that can deliver high performance and convenience. Perform reliable, high-quality transfers fast—in as few as three minutes. In addition, two independently controlled transfer stations allow you to share the device with your coworker, simultaneously running a total of four mini gels or two midi gels with two different programs. With the iBlot 3 system, you can achieve as good or better protein transfer efficiency compared to wet tank transfer and other rapid transfer methods. The preassembled single-use consumables and ultrafast transfer methods help eliminate variability—enabling consistent and repeatable results. In addition, the robust design has built-in cooling to reduce heat buildup and facilitate run-to-run consistency.

iBind western systems

Two devices, one simple technology for automated western blot processing
Invitrogen iBind Western Systems—no shakers, no trays, no timers. Set up in minutes and walk away. The Invitrogen iBind Western Systems are western blot processing benchtop devices that utilize sequential lateral flow (SLF) to perform hands-free blocking, antibody binding, and washes. In less than 3 hours, blots are processed and ready for final detection. You can continue to use your existing chromogenic, chemiluminescent, or fluorescent western blotting protocols, along with your choice of primary antibody or secondary antibody conjugates of HRP, AP, or fluorescent dyes.

iGlow™ Gel Documentation System

Flexible, Intuitive One-Touch Gel Imaging with Advanced Automated Workflow and Extended Support.

The Invitrogen iGlow Gel Documentation System is a flexible, highly intuitive imaging platform engineered to deliver rapid, easy nucleic acid and protein gel imaging across a diverse range of gel formats. Featuring an advanced ‘one-touch capture’ functionality, the system streamlines the image acquisition process, taking mere seconds to go from sample insertion to high-quality data capture. At its core, the system incorporates a sophisticated Windows-based computing platform that cleanly integrates hardware and software components, eliminating the need for external computing devices and freeing valuable bench space. Equipped with a high-resolution 5-megapixel scientific CMOS (sCMOS) detector and three distinct LED transilluminator light sources (blue, UV, and white), the iGlow enables precision imaging for a wide range of samples and stains. To maximize workflow efficiency and remove manual guesswork, the system features automatic tray recognition that senses exactly which sample tray is inserted and activates only the corresponding imaging mode. Furthermore, during capture, the intelligent software automatically detects sample intensity levels to calculate the ideal exposure time, ensuring consistent, publication-quality results. Providing ultimate peace of mind for laboratory operations, the entire system package includes all essential imaging trays, a UV safety shield, and is backed by a comprehensive, industry-leading two-year warranty.

Western Blot Detection Reagents

With a variety of detection techniques for western blotting-chemiluminescence, fluorescence, or colorimetric, to choose from, you can select a technology to match your experimental requirements by clicking “Learn more” below.

Chemiluminescent substrates are popular because they offer several advantages over other detection methods. These advantages have allowed chemiluminescence to become the detection method of choice in most protein laboratories. Key highlights: Greatest sensitivity; Detection and quantitation for a large range of protein concentrations.
Fluorescent reagents are growing in popularity for western blotting because they offer increased time savings over chemiluminescent detection and reduced chemical waste compared to both chemiluminescent or chromogenic detection systems. Key highlights: Multiplexing capability; Direct signal.

Luminex Instruments

The Luminex family of systems encompasses four instrument models, each offering distinct multiplexing capabilities, throughput, and read times. These Luminex instruments operate on the quantitative fluorescent flow cytometry principle, leveraging the xMAP magnetic bead technology to detect small quantities of analytes. Used in combination with our ProcartaPlex multiplex assays for protein quantitation or QuantiGene Plex assays for gene expression analysis, the Luminex platform delivers a rapid and cost-effective immunoassay profiling tool. This synergy between Luminex instruments and our advanced multiplex assays enhances efficiency and precision in the detection and quantification of biomolecules.

ProcartaPlex Immunoassays

Invitrogen ProcartaPlex assays are antibody and magnetic bead-based multiplex immunoassays that leverage Luminex xMAP technology to enable the simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single well with only 6.3–50 µL sample of plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, or other bodily fluids. The assays cover more than 600 cytokines, chemokines, growth factors, and other protein targets from a range of species.

With a broad menu of preconfigured panels (2- to 80-plex) and customizable options, ProcartaPlex assays provide high flexibility to serve your individual research needs. Whether investigating inflammation, immunology, cytokine profiling, oncology, or infectious diseases, you can rely on the accuracy, sensitivity, reproducibility, and versatility of ProcartaPlex multiplex assays to gain deeper insights and uncover complex biological processes.
