SIMPLIFY DIGITAL PCR
with the QuantStudio Absolute Q System
The Applied Biosystems QuantStudio Absolute Q Digital PCR System is an advanced, plate-based dPCR platform designed to streamline your laboratory operations. Powered by proprietary microfluidic array plate (MAP) technology, it is the only instrument you need to complete the entire dPCR process.
Key Advantages:
-
All-in-One Workflow:
Seamlessly handles compartmentalizing, thermal cycling, and data acquisition on a single, integrated instrument. -
Familiar qPCR Simplicity:
Transition easily to digital PCR. The workflow exactly mirrors standard qPCR, eliminating steep learning curves. -
Streamlined Efficiency:
Dramatically reduces hands-on steps to minimize human error and maximize data consistency.
How the QuantStudio Absolute Q Transforms dPCR
Traditional digital PCR often involves multi-step, multi-instrument workflows. The QuantStudio Absolute Q Digital PCR System eliminates this complexity. By removing the need for standard curves, it overcomes inherent variability and low accuracy. Instead, it consolidates the entire process into a single instrument and a single plate, delivering a streamlined, one-step workflow that is as simple as qPCR (see Figure 1).
The Engine Behind the Accuracy: MAP Technology
Highly accurate dPCR results rely on our proprietary Microfluidic Array Plate (MAP) technology (see Figure 2). Here is how the microfluidic process guarantees precision:
-
Structured Layout:
Each MAP contains 16 distinct dPCR reaction units (visible as opaque squares). -
High-Density Compartmentalization:
A built-in distribution network precisely delivers PCR reagents into 20,480 fixed-array microchambers within each reaction unit. -
Absolute Quantification:
Once reagents are compartmentalized, PCR amplification begins. The system automatically counts the exact number of microchambers with successful DNA amplification, providing clear, absolute data.
